Replacing Lost or Damaged Materials

Teachers and students are responsible for the books they check-out from the CHCSS library. If a book is lost, damaged or stolen, the student will be responsible for paying the full replacement cost of the book or buying the same new book.

If a book page accidentally rips, please do not attempt to repair it at home. We use special book tape and glue, which resist heat and will not discolor. Simply advise a member of the library team of the damage and we will attempt to repair it. In the event that the book cannot be repaired, a replacement charge will be assessed.

Please note, we would always rather have the book back, so if you find the lost book or it is located and it is in good condition, we will refund the lost book fee.
